Wow 🤩, what a fantastic show! A most sincere thanks and appreciation to the club organisers and top bloke Petrus Dayvis for the kind invitation and generous acceptance for us to add our first official Aussie Ma.K Showcase to the high level competition. Incredibly high standard of scale model artistry shown across so many genre and one of the best and biggest Maschinen Krieger collections I’ve seen at a single event to date.
It’s the first event I’ve managed to get to in far too long and such a treasure to see and talk with so many people in person. Old friends, new friends, social media connections come to life and a sheer joy to talk and laugh together about the thing we love. Scale models.
In fact, we talked and laughed so much that I neglected to focus on taking photos - sorry!
Here are some I did get along with some snagged from Gav Cross who really helped me out with just everything. Thanks mate.
Big shout outs to so many of my amazing friends for helping out with the table, appreciate you so much - Daniel Yardy, Jodie Smith, Stephen Neal, Dimitris Ioannidis and Mr. Christopher Tsang. Congratulations to you last 2 for all the awards too.
It was really cool to meet up with the On the Bench team of David Goldfinch, Ian Keizers and Julian Hosmer who also were collecting medals. So good. They recorded an episode at the show, it was a blast but also quite informative. Listen to it here;

Now for a photo report, I recently updated my iOS and didn’t realize that my phone now saves photos in the HEIC format I’ve been seeing. Fine, but they are not compatible with this blog software… yes they can be converted but so much to do this weekend. You can change the settings too and I have, to a compatibility mode which will save as jpehs. That one felt like one step forward and 2 backward!
Let’s see if this can work and the Ol’ Linc Dawg Can learn a new trick.
