Paint on Plastic — About
I'm Lincoln Wright. Japanese-trained studio modeler. Founder of Paint on Plastic.
For over a decade I've been building, publishing, and shipping studio-grade work at the intersection of scale modeling, Japanese craft tradition, and sci-fi lore. I'm the author of SCI-FI F.A.Q. — published by AK Interactive, 428 pages, internationally distributed. My books, guides, and builds are used by serious modelers worldwide.
This is a working studio.
What ships from here: Premium modeling books — Workbench Editions and the FIRELINE series. Studio Method Digital Guides. Limited-run kits and bundles, direct to your door. YouTube content built around the work.
How it works: Everything is built by hand. Sold direct — no distributors, no middlemen. Every product is part of a larger body of work with visual continuity and lore integrity. If it's not worth building well, it doesn't leave the bench.
Why it exists: To do the work at the standard it deserves. Slower. Deeper. Higher.
