WHO IS PAINT ON PLASTIC AND THIS LINC GUY!?!
Lincoln Wright was born in Australia and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. An obsession with robots and model airplanes came together with the discovery of Gunpla, Macross and Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K) in Akihabara in the early 90s.
Lincoln has worked with Kow Yokoyama Sensei as a studio model artist and writer for the Maschinen Krieger property with Hasegawa, WAVE Corporation and Model Graphix for the Ma.K Profile Series. Max Watanabe invited Lincoln to collaborate on the long running series “Ma.K in SF3D” by Hobby Japan.
Additionally, Lincoln has worked extensively with the publishers of The Weathering Magazine and collaborates with Acrylicos Vallejo, Ammo of Mig Jimenez, Hobbyco Australia, Little Robot Australia, WAVE Corporation, Kotobukiya, Sparmax and Gaia Notes Paints.
World Model Expo added the category of Sci-Fi, inviting Lincoln Wright to Judge in Stresa, Italy.
Lincoln was invited to Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC) to demonstrate Weathering Techniques and co-hosted a series of panels with Katsumi Kawaguchi Meijin on "Weathering Gunpla".
Lincoln now resides in Australia with his beautiful family and launched “Paint on Plastic by Lincoln Wright." Hosted across several social media platforms, Lincoln shares his unique experiences as one of the few Western model makers to have worked with the greats in Japan, learning their methodology while furthering to develop his own unique style
